86th Anniversary of South St. Paul Waterwork's Bonding Bill!!!

Why is this a big deal?

Because it came one day after Tennessee cast their votes that passed the 19th Amendment to the Constitution giving women in the whole United States the right to vote.

The ballot for this bonding bill was the very first election in the United States where women could vote as a result of suffrage passing. Eighty-seven women voted that day and their votes were segregated from the men's just in case there was a mistake.
